FAQ
Do you have questions about our offers and teaching methods? Here, we answer the most frequently asked questions to ensure a smooth start to your musical journey with Home Music Teachers in The Hague.
How does the trial month work?
A trial month with Home Music Teachers allows you to explore lessons without committing to a long-term contract or dealing with cancellation periods right from the start. Over the course of four lessons, you can try out lessons at the standard hourly rate to see if you’ve chosen the right instrument and whether your music teacher is the right fit for you.
Only after this non-binding trial month will a permanent contract be established for better lesson planning.
How many music teachers are there at music school HMT?
At Home Music Teachers – The Hague, there are typically around 30 music teachers available, covering a wide variety of instruments.
Will I always have the same music teacher?
Yes, in principle. We believe that having a consistent teacher is essential for building trust and achieving the best learning success as quickly as possible.
However, our teachers may occasionally be unavailable for various reasons. In the event of long-term absences, we will arrange for a replacement immediately.
What instruments are taught?
We offer lessons in guitar, piano, violin, cello, saxophone, flute, recorder, and many other instruments. Additionally, singing lessons are available.
If you have inquiries about other instruments, we’re always happy to help!
Is it possible to rent an instrument?
While we do not provide rental instruments directly, we partner with major musical instrument retailers and can connect you with them at any time.
How long Is the contract valid, and Is It paid during holidays?
The contract has a minimum duration of six months and can be canceled afterward with a three-month notice period.
Holidays are paid, as the lesson prices are carefully calculated to cover the holiday period as well.
How do I cancel an appointment?
If you are within the trial month and cannot attend a scheduled lesson, you must inform us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel the lesson.
If you have already signed a contract, lessons can be rescheduled in consultation with your teacher.
For scheduling changes or cancellations, you can directly contact your teacher.
What learning materials and books do I need?
The required materials depend on your age, interests, and musical style. Different resources may be needed based on your personal learning path.
Can I benefit from Home Music Teachers' music lessons at any age?
You’re never too old to learn a new instrument! Whether for children or adults, Home Music Teachers offers something for everyone.
