Music Lessons Directly at Your Home
The Home Music Teachers of the Amsterdam Music School bring lessons directly to your living room. Learn in your comfort of our home and can choose flexible times that fit into your daily life. The concept is aimed at everyone who loves music – whether children or adults, beginners, advanced, or professionals. The lessons are individually adapted to your wishes and goals, so you receive exactly the support you need to develop your musical skills.
Prices
With us, the monthly contribution is calculated simply. The total amount for a year is divided into twelve equal monthly payments. You can choose the lesson length individually, depending on what suits you best. Units of 45 or 30 minutes are available – perfectly tailored to your learning goals and daily life. Do you want even more flexibility? Then our 10-card is ideal. The lessons take place once a week. During school holidays and public holidays, the lessons pause – so everything remains relaxed and manageable.

How does the trial month work?
A trial month with Home Music Teachers means that you are not stuck with long contracts and corresponding notice periods from the start. For four lessons you can try out, at normal hourly rates, whether you have chosen the right instrument, and whether the music teacher suits you and is on the same wavelength.Only after the no-obligation trial month is a permanent contract signed for better planning.
How many music teachers are there at music school HMT?
Home Music Teachers Amsterdam regularly employs about 30 music teachers for a wide variety of instruments.
Do I always have the same music teacher?
In principle, yes. We are aware that this is the only way to create a trusting relationship with teaching with the fastest possible learning success. Of course, our teachers may also be absent for a variety of reasons. In case of prolonged disruptions, replacements will be provided immediately.
What instruments are taught?
Guitar, piano, violin, cello, saxophone, flute, recorder and many other instruments are taught. Of course, you can also take singing lessons with us. We are always open to questions about other instruments.
Is it possible to rent an instrument?
Although you cannot get a rental instrument directly from us, we cooperate with major musical instrument houses and can make appropriate contacts with them at any time.
How long is the contract valid and will it be paid in full during the vacations?
The contract has a minimum term of six months and then is terminable with three months’ notice. Vacations are paid for. The prices of the teaching units are calculated so accurately that the vacation period is also covered.
How do I cancel an appointment?
If you are within the trial month and are unable to keep an appointed appointment, you must contact us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel the lesson. If a contract is in place, a class may be postponed in consultation with the appropriate teacher. For appointments or cancellations, please contact your teacher directly.
What learning materials and books do I need?
Depending on age, interest and style of music, different materials may be required

Eric Junker
As a music educator, Eric aims to inspire students of all ages and backgrounds for music. Eric Junker is a passionate and versatile bass guitarist, music producer and music teacher.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Bass Guitar Jazz and a master’s degree in Live Electronics from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. His musical career includes extensive experience as a bassist in several bands, including the Luxembourgian formations Mutiny on the Bounty and Alfalfa, and as a music producer for a variety of artists and projects, including the debut album of Luxembourg rapper Luk.
Eric's background
With his solo project Slumbergaze, he focuses on the production and performance of experimental electronic dance music. Versatility and creativity are central to his artistic work.
As a music teacher, Eric aims to inspire students of all ages and from all walks of life for music. He places great importance on encouraging their creativity and supports them in discovering and realizing their individual musical interests and goals.
