How does the trial month work?
A trial month with Home Music Teachers means that you are not stuck with long contracts and corresponding notice periods from the start. For four lessons you can try out at normal hourly rates whether you have chosen the right instrument, whether the music teacher suits you and whether you are on the same wavelength. Only after the non-binding trial month is a permanent contract signed to ensure a better schedule for both parties.
Is there a hygiene concept?
Of course, it is absolutely important for us to work with a hygiene concept. You already benefit from the fact that no cohorts are formed at your home as in the waiting room of a regular music school, for example. And of course, when teaching face-to-face at your home, we pay attention to feasible distances, hand disinfection and hygiene. Because of the Corona crisis, it is also possible to take lessons via Skype or Facetime. If you are interested, please contact your location directly.
Differences from a traditional school?
The main difference is that you don’t have to drive or be driven to the music school. Home music teachers come directly to your home, saving you time, money and effort. The teaching and learning situation in your familiar surroundings allows you to learn with particular concentration and efficiency, free from distractions, and the quick learning successes keep your motivation and enjoyment of making music.
What instrument can I learn?
We have experienced teachers for virtually every instrument. From string, brass, woodwind and keyboard instruments to percussion and vocals. With us you can learn traditional instruments as well as modern instruments such as keyboards or electric guitars, as well as some exotic instruments. And finally, the voice is also an instrument. Not to mention that some locations also offer music production.
What happens if a class is cancelled?
We operate on the principle of education guarantee. If a lesson is cancelled, the lesson will be rescheduled as soon as possible. If this is not possible due to mutual scheduling reasons, the cancelled lessons will be refunded. Basically, the teachers have contact with the students or their parents and individually agree on the dates and any catch-up dates.
Do I have a regular teacher?
Yes definitely. You will have a regular personal teacher who will guide you throughout your musical journey. Whether the chemistry between you is right is usually determined during the trial month. Should you wish to change teachers afterwards, we can certainly accommodate that.
How far can I live?
First of all, it is clear that your place of residence must be within reasonable reach of the teachers in terms of time and distance. Precisely because there are obvious regional differences at our locations, we cannot make a general statement about the possible distance.
